Don't worry, We don't have fiber optic around here that much either where I live.
we are currently paying $78 a month for the TWC ultimate package, and getting the "old granny" package for some reason (heard there was somthing going on with NY internet though, and I live right next to the border)

windoge 8 has the saddest excuse for a BSOD, it just tells you the type of error, no stop code, no nothing, just "something went wrong, all your unsaved work has now been lost to the void that is volatile memory"

Your nearest servers are all melbourne based from even though you're in tas?
I could've sworn there were tas based servers but I haven't gone to tas for a while and can't really remember the last speedtest I did there... Sooooo I guess what I'm trying to say is I have no idea.
Anywho, can't be bothered doing a speedtest because I'm doing uni work at the moment but my I get an average of 5-6MB/s on steam and my upload is entirely average, around 2Mb/s.
Not super great but it does the job and I get unlimited downloads each month which is nice. Overall optus has been pretty decent internet-wise.
I take it you're fine when playing online? No connection issues? With just one person using it, you've got a good plan.
PS3 wise, yes, the connection is solid. PC gaming wise? I couldn't say. My laptop is several years old, and isn't a gaming laptop, so I tend to lag even when playing by myself in Minecraft.

There is a server in tassie, but it's in Hobart which is around the same distance in cable length from me anyway I lie, it's longer but the majority of the length is submarine cable so it's faster. The tests I do from Hobart actually return worse results in both ping and bandwidth.
There's still cable.
Download is okay for me. Upload is pretty poor though D:
My upload speed is pretty slow xD
Lol I don't even live in Flint xD

That's the server location, not your location
EDIT: and I'm paying for 50/5

Mobile (4G LTE with full reception):
Oh, and home connection is still very similar to this, despite the techy 'fixing' it:
It improved for 1/2 a month back up to 3Mbps, then dropped right back down again. *sighs*

Apparently my internet is decent. *Coughs*
Just me. However, I also have my work laptop on the same network. I doubt that makes much of a difference. My ISP is extremely crappy.

Just got fiber cable broadband
Not bad hey?
