How long does it take for you to download a gigabyte?
Math is your friend.
1500Mbps is about 180MBps. 1GB is 1024MB, so at that speed, it should take less then 7 seconds.
HOWEVER! 99.99999999% of computers only have 1gigabit network interfaces or lower, so the speed is capped to 1Gbps, which is still stupidly fast for an internet connection. Network speeds are only as fast as the weakest link. Connections like that are designed to support large numbers of people.

Paying for 60/2 so I can't complain. However, for the same price of $130/mo in Sweden ($160/mo for 1gb/s from telia) , Norway etc, it would be like 500mbps. Oh, and the data cap 300GB/mo.... Canadian ISPs suck. Its split between 5 people because its in the house we're renting for school so its only $26/mo per person.
At my new house we just ordered 100Mbps down and I will be ordering more IP adresses as well. I will have a 24-port switch on my server rack, along with my storage NAS and will have each ethernet plug in each room connected with a cat6e cable (preparing for my google fiber in 6 years ahah, wait I will be in college -__-)

Can't wait til computers have 10Gbps built into them by default....
Terrible. It used to be much, much better. 20mpbs Download, 8mbps Upload, but it's only gotten worse.
Better than no Internet at all for sure.
These guys with 200+mb connections...that's stupid fast.
Not in US, that's for sure.
