decided to jump on the bandwagon, going to get my first mechanical keyboard, and wondering if anyone has any suggestions
first of all, i'd like to note, that i'd prefer it to be colored backlit (like green, or red) as well as using cherry MX Blues (if possible), be more made for gaming (so like a logitech in terms of features) as well as not just a literal rectangle with key's on it
Why can't it be rectangular? That's what most keyboards are. This one has blue backlighting and Cherry MX Reds, but the Corsair Vengeance K95 looks really nice and has a ton of extra keys. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-keyboard-ch9000020na
that cm storm is a great example of what i meant by not rectangular, it just has no style, and is pure rectangular, which i personally dont really like all that much.
so the logitech would be the better choice of the two i posted, hmmmm
as for the corsair, i highly doubt ill ever need 18 programmable keys, 6 will be plenty (i already have a new mouse i'm getting, the g700s to be exact, so if i ever really need more, i can just program the mouse's macro key's)
any other suggestions? (preferably with blue or brown switches, also, as for color, i was just using the red and green as examples, i didn't mean those two specifically)
well, the thing is, the reds from what i can tell(and have seen/heard in video's) don't have the tactile feedback and audible click noise when double/triple tapping, which happens to be one of the main reasons to get mechanical
looked into it, and watched a video or 2 on it, quite an awesome keyboard it seems, so the k70 it is i suppose, thanks for your help guys (also, noticed your sig, fm87 is gone?!?!?!?!? that sucks) EDIT: OH, i just noticed the original persons(john) post saying k70, LOL, i misread it as k95
