Yesterday I got my new case so i could fit the motherboard i got for Xmas in my build. this was the first time i completely built a computer and it took awhile but i got it to boot up. it got to the the windows logo but before the windows logo went together it freezes and i get the BSOD for just a half a sec then the computer restarts. ive looked at some solutions on how to fix this but i have found nothing.
Build:
NZXT phantom 410 case
AMD-FX 4130 cpu
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 mobo
Sapphire 8750 graphics card
650 watt psu
I don't see anything we can do here, we would be taking shots in the dark trying to figure out whats wrong. If it does not boot into windows, you can't get into the crash dump files.
You could say what error code is on the motherboard.
so i made the pc not restart when it go tto the bsod. this is what it says.
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen appears again, follow these steps. check for viruses on you computer. remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. chack yor hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. run chkdsk /f to check for hard drivecorruption, and then restart your computer."
Radoishack has not been a store like that since the '90s. right now they are basically a cell phone retailer.
Reminds me of something i saw on reddit
"RadioShack for me died the day I came in looking for a new magmount 2m antenna and got blank stares. Then I asked them if they new what Ham Radio was and got more blank stares. Then I asked them where they worked and they offered to sell me a cell phone."

right now, RS is just a cell phone retailer with electronic components and a few TVs and cables

windoge 8 has the saddest excuse for a BSOD, it just tells you the type of error, no stop code, no nothing, just "something went wrong, all your unsaved work has now been lost to the void that is volatile memory"
They still have that drawer of diodes and things, but they're expensive ($4 per each single in some cases) and will never last more than a few hours.
huh, my 555s are working just fine as pot-to-servo controllers after a year (the farther you turn the knob, the farther the servo turns) but I do get your point of the price, unless it's a velleman kit (got $120 worth for $15 bucks due to a massive sale)
