Hey there, I want to get into computer programming and game design. I've found a lot of resources, but the ones that stand out are the free college courses over at MIT Open CourseWare. They have a lot of computer science related courses available, but I'm debating whether I should do any and if I do, which.
So I'm asking those of you who know about this subject, which of these courses should I consider going through, if any?
These are the ones that cover programming languages, there are also other more scientific courses and additional courses that go more in-depth.
Any advice is appreciated, and if I'm barking up the wrong tree please tell me and point me in the write direction. Thanks

Okay! Which language would you recommend?
I personally know enough basic Python to get by, and enough Java to get by. Haven't dabbled in C# or C++.
They're all popular and widespread. Learn them all, is my recommendation.

That's what I've heard. I just haven't taken the time to start learning it yet.

On that note, go 2010, not 2012. You'll thank me later.
Good deal I get them free. Any differences between Ultimate and other editions?

The others also have very very very very slightly different UIs.
I'm on Dreamspark, so I get all versions free.
Just didn't know if one would be better than the other to use, or if going with Ultimate was best or whatever.

Alright, thanks.
