But my gawd, i went to Best Buy earlier, I was paying attention to the displays everybody was stopping at. they stopped to look at beats and Skullcandies, and the iPad section was packed while the Android tablet section was deserted. Everybody played with the iPhones on display and didn't even stop to look at the very large ads for galaxy S3's and whatnot. People were buying accessories for Apple products everywhere, and get this - on their little headphone testing booths, the cheapo heaphones (and the ripoffs like Beats) worked fine but the headphones that actually looked worth the money weren't working for some reason. And I genuinely wanted to test some nice .ogg format audio from my phone on some...(oh, yeah, iOS/iTunes doesn't support .ogg or .FLAC - that's just pathetic). It was a sad place in there. I felt truly alone (I mean seriously, since when does anybody working there know any real info about what they're selling anyway? It's all lies to make you buy as much as possible). Then I went to Target, got some coffee, wandered in the electronics section (thankfully found some people investigating Androids), then went home.

I know I'm probably being a bit too harsh...I'm a very opinionated person, and I guess I'm the sort of person who really, REALLY wants to make a point (as in repeating the same thing over and over again).

I will inform you I've been learning how to use FL studio lately, I've been discovering lots of new music to listen to, I've found multiple really nice games to play that are free, and other than that I've been pretty uneventful lately...when I'm not doing one of those three things, I repeatedly click between my bookmarks looking for anything new (this forum being one of them). I really need to find something to, like, occupy my time for more than 30 minutes.

A few months ago, in computer tech class:

"How do you turn up the volume?"

This kid is the same age as I am. We're teenagers. We've used computers way more than once in our lifetime.

Another time, in some random discussion we were having and the internet was brought up:

"It's on a satellite in space, right?"

He never took into account how the internet works equally well on both sides of the planet.

Back in computer tech near the end of the year - not specific questions but still related to the topic nonetheless - he kept asking me for help on Microsoft Excel AFTER THE TEACHER TAUGHT EVERYTHING ESSENTIAL ABOUT IT IN A LOUD AND CLEAR VOICE LIKE THIS. Still barely knows how to type in commands even after I helped him.

I fear for this idiot's future if he barely knows the basics of a computer. (On a somewhat related note, he thinks Macs are the best computers in the world and are worth the extremely inflated price, and Apple beats everything, even though he has almost no knowledge about computer hardware and generally how the industry & community work. Go figure.)

I'm basically the computer guy in my circle of friends... some comments i get are: A.) when i open a computer terminal my friend says "are you hacking my computer?" B.)typing a script for him and he says "how do you type so fast?!" and C.) "I like macs because they're white and they look cool, but my macbook Air is really laggy when running minecraft..." seriously?

That ^^^ and the first pc build someone posted had something retarded like 4x1gb ram sticks, 3 crucial m4 drives, also the power supply is poop, can the 660ti even run a 430W power supply??? Also overpriced h77 board + 2500k, Da f**???

A friend of mine was buliding a computer a few months ago (hes finished now) And I was going to help him get the right parts, as ive allready built before. he was like "Ima get myslef four 'Sapphire radeon, I mean, just think of how awesome the graphics are going to be!" And i looked at him and was like: "Dude, you only need one of those cards. maybe two if your interested in wasting money." and he was all like: "hell no! ima get the best graphics on the island (I live on a small island with less than 10 000 inhabitants) a week later when we had set up his PC, and we agree'd that we where going to test if it made any difference, so we started with the four cards playing Skyrim at highest graphics. about an hour later, i started my computer (1 radeon i5 gaming prossesor) And i ran the game just as good as him. I laughed my ass off, as he paid for a i7prossessor and four sapphire cards. damn, I laughed my ass off that day XD

In my Algebra class, the class computer was on the logon screen (Press Ctrl - Alt - Delete to log in) and someone had opened the accessibility dialog. As we know, Windows likes to...read those things out loud, and the process in which it does that involves highlighting the text it is currently reading in an outline. There was no speaker plugged in, but it was still reading the text - and the outline box thing was advancing through each line and infinitely repeating.

Well, my fellow classmates noticed and jumped to the conclusion that someone was hacking the computer. And, being the noisy class that was, I would have to yell for them to notice i was talking (and they were pretty much right next to me).

I tried to explain, but nobody heard except maybe the lost soul I have trapped inside me (that isn't my own). It might be evil, I just ignore it most of the time, so i don't know for sure. If it talks again I'll tell you guys what it said.

(Oh yeah, and this is high school. I weep for the future of humanity. I can have my moments of extreme bursts of intelligence and awareness, but even then it's not all the time. I've posted PLENTY of things on these forums in the past couple weeks I feel REALLY stupid about.)
