Very, very odd things have been asked of me.........
For example:
Why did people use Windows Vista / XP when they could have been using Windows 7? (This was asked in the context of before Windows 7 was released. -.-).
My computer is fizzling, is that bad?
What is RAM? Is it good that I removed it? Now my computer won't turn on.
I got a new CPU, it's better than my old one! (Old one was 2.something). It's 1.33GhZ! Computer parts are apparently rated like golf, the lower it is the better!

It's amazing how ignorant some people can be...
HAHAHA, what?!?!?!? We can travel through space and make such amazing machines yet some of us STILL lack simple knowledge!

why would you remove something that comes with it..........

Our theory is that she either pressed down on the HDD itself, or the case was bent from her pressing on the key (the laptop was on her lap). This is the old macbook, not the new unibody ones, so it's easier to bend.
Either way, we first confirmed that the drive has multiple bad sectors, then we shut it down and disassembled it (the laptop, not the HDD). Nothing unusual was found inside, so it was reassembled. A attempt to boot was made, but we discovered that the HDD was in bad enough shape that it couldn't be booted.

kinda of a bad topic to say. not gona name any names but some people on the forums think apple has 100% rights to do what they did.
Technically Apple does have the right to do what they did. The U.S. patent system is awful and because of that Apple can get away with suing over features such as curved edges.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

good point but what else do you expect when most people on that jury were fanboys and so was the judge.

I never said I expected any other outcome. I'm not surprised at all considering the jury was from California which is Apple's home base. The judge just pissed me off though considering that the evidence in question was incredibly significant.

Not sure where to put this, since this is practically a chit-chat thread:
School started, my calc teacher doubles as the comp sci teacher, apparently he was apart of the big programming boom in the 90s where they were practically an commodity (he was given a car for christmas from his company). Funny thing is, he hates computers. He also hates apple. Love him so far.
So lucky, none of my teachers other than my digital art teacher are tech savvy or interesting, well my english teacher is good, and so is my band director, but not really tech savvy.
And ohh, gotta love alegebra/calculus, making you buy expensive **** graphing calculators...

I'm dual citizenship US/CA, but the US is in much better shape (I don't plan on moving to Canada any time soon). Sure, no free healthcare, but everything is so much cheaper, and our ISPs don't suck as bad as Canada's ISPs do.

Very off topic, but do you still need a passport if you have dual citizenship?

Yes. My Canadian passport is expired though, and actually my American one expired in the last few weeks. I need to go get a new American one. I've never used my citizenship or mentioned it to border officials, I just declare myself as American and use that passport.

since when does 16trillion dollars in debt make us in better shape?

well it kinda is in the off section forums : P
It annoys me when people say things like this. just because are government is in debt doesnt mean that our economy is worse. Im also sure that the U.S. has a higher stander of living.

In the end, my father is going to give us his laptop and buy himself a new one. Problem solved! Although they're still pissed at my sister.

If you're going to use that definition of invention, then you're going to have a very long list of companies that never invented something.
