So I've watched the Newegg tutorial like 3 times and another one and I have a good idea of it but I'm afraid of screwing up somehow with wiring or messing up on the motherboard or somehow breaking it.....is there any tips on what to do, what not to do, etc. I'm putting a lot of money into this, so it just has me nervous.
Assuming its a gaming build I would go for this as a monitor.
EDIT: why did you remove the monitor from the build? do you not need one anymore?
Well I do, but I didn't really want to include it in the build because I'm not going to be the one paying for it. But I guess suggestions would be nice

Whaaat ?
Seriously, you're suggesting a CRT too someone who is probably a casual gamer? It'd be better to get a 23"LED backlit display, just to have appropriate colors. Also, the response times and so are going down.

Or a fast IPS, nice color accuracy. Games look great.
