That's a majorly overkill processor with majorly underkill GPU.
Dude, never buy a prebuilt gaming PC. they rip you off like that. They also break. A lot.
Next time, let us give you a list of parts, and order them.
Think it's too hard to build a PC? Well, I did it at 15. Think again. The hardest part is simply plugging in cables for the buttons on the case. Other than that, it's just screws and gentle insertion of expensive parts. http://www.minecraft...shing-tomorrow/
I wanted to build a PC but my parents wouldn't let me. I actually just bought this computer about a month ago, saved up all my own money for it.

Show this to your parents. I did this. I am fifteen. It only took two days because I did it for a friend and my family had other plans. Also, Windows still hasn't arrived yet, so installing Windows will have to wait. But I did it. With just one obstacle, which was easily fixed. I built a computer for a friend. It works. It's awesome. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1351764-gaming-pc-building-log-assembly-finished/
Maybe you haven't even installed a graphic driver yet and it's running with the crappy integrated one?
I would suggest updating your graphic driver. Go to nvidia.com, In the Drivers menu select Geforce Drivers, then click on the automatic driver finder, or however it might be named. Restart your computer once it's installed, for good measure.

That's an extrordinarily ungrateful thing to say - I can assure you they aren't "pieces of ****", they just don't know enough about computers to realise how easy they are to build (a majority of the human population falls into this category). I assume that they bought and payed for the computer you're using right now?
Don't be so disrespectful
Really, my thread is great evidence. If a fifteen year-old can build one (and that 12-year-old with the Sandshrew avatar), you probably can too. Just let us give you a list of parts, you order them, you put them together. We can supply videos and help if you have any problems.
Seriously, though, that is the first sign of your Alienware's failure. It will break. I promise you. Never, ever buy Alienware. Stay away from Dell and HP as well.

First off im not 12 now, and what you got against sandshrew.
You should return that computer. It's going to break. Even if you can't build your own, there's still a lot of MUCH better options than a crappy alienware that's super overpriced.
If you had to get a pre-built laptop, at least get one that is at least.. good.. I think everybody should ask the forums for help when buying a computer, I made the mistake of not doing that and what do you know? I have integrated graphics! But anyway, hope your computer works good..
After about a minute it changed back to normal
It normally looks like this:
Can someone please tell me what the **** just happened?
This can happen if explorer is causing your computer to run slow. Usually with computers that have lower end specs.
Strange, I have one tab open and my computer has an i7 3.4ghz processor and 8gb's of ram.
It's pretty common.
I have a GeForce GTX 555 graphics card. Not entirely sure what you meant by integrated though.

EDIT : Actual link to your driver (If it's a desktop computer) : http://www.geforce.c...s/results/44967
But i would suggest you still try the auto-detect, see if their app actually detect your graphic card as being the one you think.

My graphics driver is updated to the latest.
Yeah well my parents can be pieces of **** sometimes. Other than that, I'm still happy with this computer.
I did it when i was 12

And I did it while I was still in my Mother's womb.
OP, it sucks that your parents wouldn't let you build it. There are some alternative better than Alienware but not as good as building it yourself.

He was just referencing your comment saying that you did build it when you were twelve. Also Sandshrew is pathetically lame, in my opinion!
