Seriously, somehow I got this piece of **** called Babylon on my computer. It's not a virus but I consider it one because it's such a pain in the ass. Basically, it's just a search engine. It replaces the little "browse the web" thing in the top right corner with the Babylon search engine.
Also, usually, when I open a new tab, it shows my recently/most visited sites or whatever. And in the address bar, it's simply empty. But now it takes me to Babylon's **** site everytime I open a new tab.
It did set my homepage to babylon also, but I changed it back, so that wasn't a problem.
How can I get rid of Babylon completely? I uninstalled it from my programs. It doesn't show up in Firfox add-ons or extensions. I also tried checking Program files>firefox>extensions> (insert name of babylon extension here) but it didn't show up there.
I don't care tremendously about removing it as I do bringing back my tabs page to how it was default set up. But preferrably I'd like it removed as well.
I have no idea, but I've got worse things on my laptop that aren't viruses. Last time I tried to kill it it decided to not let me use my laptop outside of safemode.
That's not a virus? Haha.
However, I did manage to remove it from the top corner. Now I just need to figure out how to get it so it goes to the default tab thing instead of babylon.
It's worse than a virus, it's a parental controls thing that came with the laptop that we don't have the password for to get rid of the damn thing. I wish computer companies didn't preinstall tons of crap and bloatware.

Its the download link to malwarebytes a very good tool.
I have malwarebytes. As far as I'm aware, Babylon is not malware. Or at least not harmful. But I'll give it a run anyways.
Same logo, but I don't think it's translation software.
It brings me to some babylon search engine when I try to open a new tab.
I honestly don't know, haha. All I want is to get rid of it when I open a new tab
It is spyware it is probably sending your search results off and selling them to advertisers like Google.
Malwarebytes should remove it.
Should it not work i know some other programs to try also make sure malwarebytes is updated before you run it.
I see them on a daily basis and are one of the few I know by name.
Try this and see if it helps. It's worth a try!
