So I got a worrying e-mail from Apple today saying that someone bought something from an un recognised computer or device. I went on my accound, and found out that someone had spent almost 28$ on some Chinese app. I changed my password roght away, but I want my money back. I tried to find out where I could get support, but couldn't find any. Can someone please help me out with this? Any help would be great.

If you know who the man in my avatar is without googling/looking at my profile then you know how big things can start and how other people get blamed for it.

*headdesk* This is the Computers, Software & Technology section, this counts. Though going to the apple forums seems like a better idea, considering most people in this section hate macs.(for a reason)

I heard of this one, they hack your account, and empty whatever's left in your account by buying crap apps that they make/own (thereby getting your money). I also heard they they use it to buy an app of sorts to pruchase gametime/curency for a Chinese MMO. I read the article about a year ago and dont think they said anything other than file a report and change your passwords, run AV scans ect ect ect. Don't think they had a 'fix' for it though that might have changed, check apple forums or trudge through their support system till you find it.
The most you can do is change your password and hope for the best. Apple support is notorious for not caring and telling you to go "just buy another one" in regards to pretty much anything.

Well that is their prime marketing strategy, I guess it works, since people really do just go buy another one.

Did you know the actual manufacturing cost of an iPhone is only $160ish?
Considering most big brand items are resold at 100% markup, that isn't just Apple. 20% is markup for slower moving items. Your desk probably cost less than half what you paid for it before it left china.
Apple just likes to put 150% markup on every pin and screw they sell is the problem.
I saw that on the news, I believe the happened in Sweden.
Well here's a link where a kid spent his mom's 1000 on XBOX LIVE. I found that kind of interesting.
Probably my favorite post on that link:
"Its like all those 'parents' you see on the xbox.com suspensions forum asking why little Johnny was suspended and then finding out it was because his profile proclaimed his ability to 'ass-rape your gran' or was selling 10th prestige lobbies."
Meh. Are you guys just trolling or what?
Happend to me aswell, seems to be quite common.
Apple refunds all the money in these cases without doubt. Just contact iTunes Costumer Service and they will help you. It's just easier for Apple to refund this than fixing the problem. And probably cheaper.
Wow, thanks! When I looked all I found was support for problems for devices themselves. I'll go check that out tomorow, thanks for your help everyone

But I pissed away $28 :angry.gif:
Is there any way I could contact apple or the app to get my money back?

I hate macs too, but apple products are ok
Hahahaha oh wow.
No.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Nope.
No they aren't. iPods give mediocre sound quality and are overpriced.
I wouldn't have an iPod if i didn't get it for free during the olympics. But i'd never get an iPhone for the retarded price of like $700

Lies. You have to get the right people. Surpass level 1 call center tards and your set.
Look above.
