So here's some pics of my build from last summer. I've slowly added new hardware as I go along. Core i5 2400 3.1ghz, 4gb of RAM (going to upgrade to 12 gigs soon), Radeon hd 5870, 250gb 7200rpm hard drive (need to upgrade soon), an Asus P8H61-M LE CSM Micro ATX motherboard, and a 600w Corsair psu.
EDIT: oh and the screens. 19 inch I-Inc 1440x900 on the bigger one, and a 15 inch Compaq FP 5315 1024x768, which is kinda crap, but it helps when video editing.

What are you going to do with 12GB of RAM? Unless you are rendering 3d models in Maya or something you don't need that much RAM.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

#1. Ramdisks. I like being able to run applications in them as they speed up programs like it's nobody's business.
#2. Rendering HD video in Sony Vegas in the background really kills out my performance. Though I know a lot of that is in the processor, the RAM certainly will help with keeping things running smooth.
#3. Running a Minecraft server for a few friends while still using my computer. The more RAM I have dedicated for the server, the faster it'll run.

1. This, I can understand.
2. Rendering HD videos is much more dependent on the CPU than your RAM. If you feel like you need an upgrade, just upgrade to 8GB.
3. Not necessarily. Minecraft servers don't require nearly as much RAM as people seem to think. Even 512MB of RAM is enough for a small server. Minecraft servers are dependent mostly on the CPU and your internet upload speed.

But you have a Storm Sniper, surely there's **** tonnes of cable management options in it?
All of them are underneath my mounting bays and a re a pain to set cables that total of like 2.5 in diameter cabling plus I dont feel like taking off the other side. The cables arent obstructing any cooling so there isnt any issue
I love the disk drives too, very slick.
I spotted that as well, it looks like it is.
Like I said not only watercooled well but watercooled properly.
Well done.
No one ever needs more than 400KB.
Atleast it fits in your house, i had to build a new one :sad.gif:

edit: damn you two
SCREW IT
Who needs computers? Single Celled organisms are more than enough.
Lucky you (i actually have an abacus :tongue.gif: )

Is that a GTX560 or a GTX560 Ti 448 Core Version?
GTX 560 Ti 448 core
Might want to change that, don't want to confuse people :tongue.gif:
That I will. XD
Agreed... Mine are all shoved in the bottom corner where there arent any fans in the way.
doesn't having that 8 pin auxiliary wire ontop of the heatsink scare you a bit? seems like it would get hot pretty fast up there
