This would be my first time buying a computer, and don't want to buy something that can't handle what I play. Mainly, I play Minecraft and a few other MMO's. In the future I might want to try Terraria and hoping this computer would handle these games.
Keep in mind I'm not a hardcore gamer, so I don't intend to play any demanding games. My budget is anything around $700, if there'd be anything better.
Are you able to build your own computer, cause if possible, you could get a better computer for that same price. I'd let one of the more well known people recommend you the parts, since I am still learning from them

I have no experience with building computers, sadly. I'd just like to buy one that can run Minecraft and Terraria decently for now.

well i'll have it in less then 5 hours. I'll do a little review when i get it.
I'm sure it will fit my gaming needs, it's stats are way higher then my laptop and i can play a number of steam games [portal, portal 2, hl1/2, garrysmod] and has no problem with minecraft at all.
My laptop is a Aspire 7741z-4433, if you want a computer that can play minecraft, i know this one can.
I'm not needing anything fancy, never have, just want something that works decent. for Practical use.
I had alot of trouble choosing a motherboard and a power supply, so I need help with that as well.
Remember I'm not a hardcore gamer... games like Minecraft and Terraria are all I play mostly.
Also, is there a way to find out if all these parts a re compatible with each other? I don't want to end up buying everything just to have it not work.
PSU should be fine, motherboard also seems decent. However, don't you need a DVD drive to install the OS? You could use one from your older PC though, even if it's an IDE one. Also, do you really need a Caviar Black HDD? Sine the prices are so high, you may want to get a 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12, which costs $85. The RAM is fine, but you may want to consider this one, since it's a lot cheaper but performs similarly.
Not much else to add. Seems like a good build overall.
Oops, guess I missed the optical drive. Any suggestions for one?

Just thought of something. Will my old monitor work with this build as well? I honestly have no idea what to look for to see if it's compatible. Here's my monitor.
I was looking to buy a new computer. I'd like to know how this build would work for me.

Just A few Specs:
OS: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Monitor: 20" diagonal widescreen HD LED backlit display (1600 x 900 resolution, 250nits with 5ms response time)
4 gig memory [can upgrade to 8]
Hard Drive 1TB 7200RPM Serial ATA
Graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6410D integrated graphics
AMD Dual-Core A6-3600 Accelerated Processor
this is the computer im getting tomorrow in the mail, it seems pretty nifty.
Both the OP's computer and the one jdroo suggested are terrible.
I have no experience with building computers, sadly. I'd just like to buy one that can run Minecraft and Terraria decently for now.
Any suggestions then? I'm still rather new to this and don't want to make any mistakes.

No gaming for you even at the lowest possible settings. "HD 6410D integrated graphics'
It is an AMD apu not some crappy intel IGP look at benchmarks.

Here is another from a similar APU.

AMD apu are very impressive for being IGPs and these are old Trinity is promising a 20-30% increase in GPU performance over lano.
As for the desktop is suggest something like this.

Top one will handle casual gaming.

And about compatibility, it should all work fine?
Literally any sub $25 optical drive would be fine. Just make sure it can at least read DVDs.

Again, I'm worried about compatibility. Will these parts work together?

After all of those threads you made, you didn't even listen to us?
Nice try, but I caught that before you edited it out of your post. ಠ___ಠ
