I know this is probably the wrong place, and I am probably in way over my head by asking this...but... I know there are a lot of Java programmers on here, and was just wanting to know if anyone thinks they could take on the task of porting OpenJDK to Haiku? http://haiku-os.org/ "Haiku is a new open-source operating system that specifically targets personal computing. Inspired by the BeOS, Haiku is fast, simple to use, easy to learn and yet very powerful." It would be very challenging, and I am not sure how you would go about doing so, but I figured it would be worth a shot. I really like the operating system itself, and it would be great to use everyday... it just lacks two things for me: Java, and Adobe Flash. Tell me what you think? Spread the word if nothing else. I would really like to see this operating system go somewhere!
