IOS copied some features from Android, and Android copied some features from IOS.
Siri
- Android had voice control long before Apple had Siri, and even then, Android wasn't the first.
Excuse me? IOS Has game center and a lot of **** android doesn't have. iPhone doesn't have to download third party software,iPhone DOES have more apps
IOS has things Android doesn't has, Android has things IOS has. Sure, iPhone doesn't have to download third party software, but neither does Android.
iPhone DOES have more apps
IOS may have more apps overall, but there are more free Android apps.
iPhone has more space than android,iPhone can handle thousands of apps,While android can only handle 100...
Depends on the phone. Unlike IOS, Android can be on many different phones and isn't locked to one specific specific company (IOS is only available for products that Apple makes, nobody else can use it.). Some phones are worse than an iPhone, some are better.
Don't listen to wiki,Its got lies.
Wikipedia has more truths than lies. :wink.gif: Wikipedia has guidelines that require sources (while yes... some have poor sources, but the majority do have good sources).
you mentioned earlier that android is slow... the latest android devices are dual cores up to 1.7Ghz apple has only achieved a 1ghz dual core in the 4s and with an outdated slow gpu. does apple have the tegra? no i didn't think so

Which is slow, compared to an iPhone 4s and 4.

Thanks for quoting me.
Android may have more free apps,But most suck,HARD.
I own a samsung galaxy S.Its fast,But slow at the same time,I also own an iPhone 4,Faster,Stronger,Better to handle and fits in my pocket just like the android.
They are both very good phones in my opinion,But android to me, Well, Its just not my type.
Just like to make a reminder to everyone. If you are going to compare two phones, make sure they are released around the same time and for the same type of people.
Comparing an old phone to a new phone will causes differences in speed and power.
---
I don't remember an android having voice control, thus,If it did, It will never be as accurate as siri...
Yep, it's there. Siri is a newer technology compared to what Android currently has, but it does also have it's own faults and issues.
Remember though, Apple did not invent Siri at all. They bought it and changed a few things.

they arn't copies of each other they r copies of meego another linux based operating system which had the whole app thing before anyone else.
Ahh, the classic Zealot argument, with regards to almost ANY new technology.
MS, Apple, or Google add feature to a piece of their software.
*nix zealots point at some abandoned skunkworks project and yell "we had it first". Then they hope nobody is looking as they all rush to make it presentable. Case and point: Compiz. Before Aero and Aqua, compiz was pretty much abandoned. Then MS adds aero and Apple adds aqua, and suddenly it's top priority.
As for cellphones, I think the entire idea of a smartphone is sort of stupid. when being able to phone people becomes a irrelevant sidebar of it's real functionality, it's about time to drop the "phone" moniker.

I'd say they both have copied each other at one point or another.
That said, iOS is lame. I like being able to install custom ROMs/kernels on my Android phone and tweak it for the most functionality possible. At the very most with iOS you can jailbreak to install pirated apps or change the theme, woo-hoo.
Have you ever used a high-end Android device, such as a Galaxy S II?
You also have to take the fact that Android has to work for a wide range of devices, whereas iOS is completely controlled by Apple, allowing for more optimization, into account.
"Hardcore" smartphones are bloody useless. All you need is a nice little "brickphone", or a lightweight "touchphone" based on Android if you need proper net browsing. Games? Phones are NOT for that. Phones are for communication. Siri/other speech recognising junk? Not practical, at least not with current implementations.
I think calling powerful smartphones useless isn't exactly true. You may prefer to have a nice desktop, but there may be others who want to use their phone for pretty much everything. Many people like to have the extreme mobility, as seen with the popularity of tablets. The word "phone" is starting to become a mere placeholder, but it's coming closer to a small computer. Which can be very useful at times, depending on your needs.
I don't see much advantage in them. They are a pain to use (small screen, inconvenient keyboard) and don't have a lot of productive applications for them.

Not a big fan of the whole aero look, but i hate compiz, buggy lump of crap
Dude,Of course the browser is faster,But iPhone 4s is still faster when: Recording video,Youtube,Mobile mine craft applications,.etc
The internet browser is faster in the phone your looking at right there. But overall,iPhone 4S rapes all.
I mean,Dude, That phone your looking at is like,I don't know, 1 out of like 34 androids that lost to the iPhone 3GS.
Apple has been around ALOT longer than android has.
Yep,they made it better.
bro, iOS doesn't even have flash. you cannot claim superior speed without proof, if you don't provide some solid evidence the iOS is faster all we have to go on is the fact that the top end android phones have
A ) greater processing power
B ) More Memory (RAM)
C ) better GPUs
and
D) the ability to over clock

Specs don't lie, any these specs say iOS loses
This i have to agree on,But Who cares about flash? "Me :tongue.gif:". Any way, Your right, What IOS doesn't have that android has,Well, Is flash.

it is not, i will find you the speed tests in which the 4s gets raped
4S is newer,Better,More accurate.etc.
Again sir,You are wrong, Im sorry.

And please don't mention battery life again, as Android is an operating system that is on many different devices, all with their own batteries.
I find that Android is much more appealing, with the only downside being less apps, which will change.
iOS is way too simple and doesn't have enough functions, with the only way to somewhat amend it is to jailbreak.
Have you ever used a high-end Android device, such as a Galaxy S II?
