I have around 150$ to spend. Should I buy another AMD graphics card? And does that mean they work together or does the new one cancel out the old?
Or should I go with a Radeon HD 6770?
also specify if I should get a different model or not I need some help.
One more thing you should know is I just want to use the glsl shaders mod without unplayable lagg. My current setup is just on the edge of playing smoothly.
System:
Manufacturer: ASUSTek COMPUTER INC.
Model: ASUS Desktop PC CM1730 Series
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor 2.80 GHz
Installed memory: 4.00 GB (3.75 usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system
Let me know if you need different specs or something.
Ok I see. So I guess my first two questions were answered.
Edit: taking into account what Junky said, does ATI+ATI/AMD+AMD equal more power or does the new cancel the old?
It will not matter if you buy AMD or Nvidia. They are compatible with each other. That does not work for Crossover / SLi. What it means is that if your motherboard uses AMD/ATi graphics, it will not affect what type of graphics card you get.

Check out this chart, you could get better for $150
Thank you that helped a lot. I am sure you googled it, which I should have.

Yes, I Googled that chart long ago, and I have been linking it from my favorites ever since :smile.gif:
ATI still refers to GPUs even if they were bought by AMD.
What do you think graphics cards are? They are dedicated graphics processors.
EDIT- Why don't you search ATi on Google and tell me if you don't get an AMD website.
Again, try to download a graphics driver from an ATi website.
No.
ATI no longer exists.
Its only AMD now.

OT: I ended up buying a Radeon Sapphier HD6750 for 120$ + some change.
For the record it works wonders and runs the glsl shaders perfectly with the 256X sphax pureBDcraft.
Edit: also got a free steam code for Dirt 3.
