So im looking to add a bit more ram, probably another 4Gb card to my Macbook Pro (Early 2011 model)
I've done some research but to be completely honest, i have no idea what im looking at.
I 'm not even to sure wether or not i have 2 2gb cards, or 1 4 with an open slot.
So if anyone can answer any of these question, and maybe even link a few cards?
Im not looking to go real expensive , just something that will do the job.
part 1: get rid of your mac if you want a gaming PC
part 1( for mac): talk to apple

If you know who the man in my avatar is without googling/looking at my profile then you know how big things can start and how other people get blamed for it.
First consider your motherboard, what type of memory are you using right now? (Like DDR3 1333, 1600, 1800 etc...) Also how much can your motherboard support? These are the two things you should check out before you make a purchase.
Unfortunately you will need to take it to the Apple store and have them do it if you really are having that much trouble finding out what kind of RAM you need or how to even put it in.
So realized i can find out pretty easy what it currently have XD, currently two, 2 GB DDR3 1066 cards in there. So i guess i would have to replace both to get 8gb.. As far as i believe i think my model is the one capable of 8gb of ram.. I think i just missed the upgraded model(not to positive)
and i dont need trolling people about not getting a mac.. i love my mac and i didnt buy it to game on, although i do play minecraft and few small things. I love my mac and dont plan on getting a pc again.
*edit 2*..
Wasn't that i had trouble finding the ones to fit.. i just don't know what brands are better, what is to cheap, what is too expensive.. was asking for more of a more knowledgeable mind to help me out a bit..

Well no, it's not that easy.
You need to know if your mobo supports 8GB for sure. They do not make 4GB DDR2 sticks to my knowledge, especially not DDR2 laptop RAM.
Just bring it to the apple store.

We weren't trolling, it's a genuine truthful statement.
If you knew exactly what year/model/type your mac was we could help.
how is saying trade in your mac for a pc a genuine statement? Thats called trolling an assuming i bought my mac for gaming. I had a PC and converted, and i dont regret it at all. And it was DDR3 not DDR2.
And i found out mine was made mid 2010 . Model MacBookPro6,2 Allowing it to be capable of handling 8gb.

Macs are terrible, they charge people twice or thrice the price for outdated hardware just because it is in a shiny new case. They rely on dumb ****s like you to look at the shiny new case and think its an amazing product and don't do their research before buying.

There is no DDR2 for your macbook available (they do not make DDR2 anymore IIRC, everything being sold now is leftover stock), you are SOL.
