I need a good screen recorder to start a little let's play. If it's free, bonus for you, but doesn't have to be. It has to record sound as well, and if it's free, it can't have a watermark.
Did some research, try Camstudio or Hypercam. I haven't used either yet, mainly because I'm looking for a good video editor first, but as far as I hear, they're pretty damn good.
I HIGHLY recommend Camtasia. It costs a fair bit of money but it has no lag when recording, small(ish) files and it is an editing software too!! That's what I use to record my Let's Plays.
my camtasia produces horrible quality for minecraft?

$300 is not fair. That's like, Photoshop expensive. There have to be better ones that don't cost that much.
Camtasia is easy to purchase legally with real money.
Same with you guessed it, fraps.
By becoming friends with the creator, doing him a favour and him giving it to me as paying me back :biggrin.gif: Right ?
O_O
It looks like I don't even want to buy fraps...

37$ (USD)
Great quality
down sides:
1. Oversizes EVERY video
2. Splits the video randomly sometimes whic can be a pain to edit
