Windows Vista doesn't have a default password, but I found this on a forum at About.com:
Hack Into Windows Vista With a Password Recovery Program
If there's no way you'll remember your forgotten Vista password, you have no password reset disk, and you're the only user on your PC, then it's time to get serious.
Windows password recovery programs are software tools designed to reset/delete your password or recover the old password itself. They're not the easiest programs in the world to use but if you can follow step-by-step directions, a password recovery program is almost certain to get you out of this predicament.
I don't know if or how it will work but it might be worth a try.
Best possible fix is to backup anything important, wipe the whole thing and install 7.
Therefore permanently eliminating all of your (future) problems with Vista.
my computer runs on windows vista...
No i mean,..nevermind...
im not an experienced windows user. i normally use a mac
my dad used it for a year
Then he could have set a password, but if not I could imagine it having some kind of default windows password.
Don't wipe the computer yet.

Don't use it, get 7.
