Hello i am a 13 year old and i have been interested in game development for a while (1-2 years) but i really dont know were to start. Since i have seen all these other posts and sites on the internet everyone has different opinions and i get confused so could someone tell me what i should start with with a good REASON because i dont want people telling me 5 different things and getting me confused on what i should start with but i will go with the one that is most suitable for my age and "Mind" lol thanks.
I'd suggest either C# or Java just cause its a bit harder to find good material for python without getting confused if you're new.
I suggest those languages because they're still powerful, but 'easier' in that they can hide alot of things you don't need to know when you're just learning to program. C# would probably be the easiest to get material on, you can just down Visual C# express edition off the microsoft site, and its more or less all set up for you.
Java is good too, but it doesn't have an official IDE(basically the thing you type the code up in.) So you'd have to look around a bit more to figure out how to set up netbeans or eclipse with it.
