Windows 7 is not good for the games I play - lots of older games, and weird indie ones. The entire Trilby series (starting with 5 Days a Stranger, for those of you who don't know) doesn't work on Vista and beyond.

I run Win7 and Ubuntu as a dual boot on my laptop with an XP virtual machine for my games that refuse to believe they can run on win7, and vista on my PC only because I havn't gotten around to putting 7 on it.

Best Microsoft OS there is. I'd get Linux but it's kind of complicated and I cba to learn it, and it doesn't have all the games Windows has, if it had both of those, I'd get it.
Actually Linux isn't all that hard, I find the interface easier to use in some aspects than Windows. Especially installing applications is a piece of cake.
Ubuntu is ****-easy to install and use. You can even run it next to windows on the same machine - I've done that for a while, it works a treat. If you have a couple of gigs free there's no reason not to try it out.
I did try it out once, but it handles way differently than Windows, therefore I didn't use it for long.

Ubuntu is Linux on easy mode. You don't have to wrestle with it to get everything to work. It's like you're not even running Linux.
I use Windows 7. I switched at the beginning of the year from XP, which I had been using since release. I got a new graphics card for Christmas and DX10 was too shiny to resist. The whole being able to use more memory didn't hurt, either.
I like Linux but I'm just too much of a gamer to have it for my main OS.
I used win7, and it was delicious, but then the HDD it ran on died.
Oh, i also have two XP professional boxes as well as a xubuntu box.
Oh, and an ubuntu netbook.
Edit: Wait, i have five computers?
Woah.
Edit2: Six, i also own a Sharp PC-1401 :biggrin.gif:
