That's what I figured. Makes me wonder why Apple is trying to market it as such.
Not sure what Apple's doing, but it really is a niche product. I can see in situations where it could be useful, but then it's hindered by the fact that it's running a mobile OS.

True. They are piggybacking on the apple "fanboys/girls"
Regardless, if you were said person just spend the same amount of money on one of their laptops. They are more powerful and run an UNIX operating system.

I'm not even sure if apple fanboys themselves are really using it. I'm somewhat of an Apple user and i wouldn't even considering buying one.
I would consider buying it if it wasn't for the OS. The Pro could probably be Apple's answer to the Surface, but since it uses iOS, it falls short of Microsoft's products.

Presumably they are trying to compete with the Surface Pro without actually understanding why someone would buy the Surface or assuming their target audience is too ignorant to know or care.
True. Atleast Microsoft Surface is actually good at what it does. It runs a desktop OS for desktop corporate software, unlike iOS.
Just a question for ya'll, do you think the new iPad Pro can function in a professional workspace instead of a computer?
In place of a computer, not a chance. It's a tablet.
