Is there any tablets that can play minecraft pc edition? If not, how well does pe play? I wouldn't mind swapping to pe from
console considering pe is already getting exclusives and is catching up rather quickly.
I am looking into an android tablet mainly. Preferrably under $80. Nothing else really matters. I only plan to use it for
the phone and text apps and maybe twitter but that is about it.
Nothing android can run Minecraft PC edition.
Anyways, you're not going to run minecraft very well on an $80 tablet. However, here is a vid of someone playing MC on a $59 Windows 8 tablet lol..
Edit: If you wouldn't mind PE, the Windows 10 version should run actually pretty good on these cheapo tablets
alright. awesome! I'll check in on it and see whats what. Mainly just interested in free call and text. tired of burning $100+ a month.
The idea is to just get a filler tablet to replace the phones cause I only call a few people and they all keep telling me about
the apps. Then maybe save up afterward for a pc so its not horribly critical for pc edition on the tablet.
Well keep in mind those free call/text apps do need Wifi, so remember that. Not sure how you burn $100 a month on just calling/texting lol. I pay $25 a month for Unlim Text, 100 minutes, and Unlim Data
On a relatively cheap Windows tablet, 20-30fps on low graphics settings and Optifine. Perfectly playable though.
Why not just get a cheap smart phone and use it with Whatsapp/Twitter/Facebook/Viber/whatever on WiFi? Either way, a device that can run aforementioned apps won't be able to run Minecraft PC at all, and you'll probably need at least a decent tablet/device to play PE (though having never even played it, I have no idea how well it runs on lower end phones/tablets).
You could get a used smart phone. I bought an unlocked Nexus 4 off eBay for $20 (had cracked back and broken sim port) and when I was in Europe I used it for calling/texting using WhatsApp and Skype on Wifi, and it works great. even though its a bit old, its honestly 90% as fast as most $600 phones these days. You can get a 16gb unlocked Nexus 4 for around $80-$90 on eBay these days. I would really not recommend going with some cheap $30 android, believe me those things are awful.
It runs horribly due to the hardware it has to work with, but I have seen an Android app called Boardwalk that allows you to play PC edition Minecraft. Here's a link if you wanna try it out. My tablet ain't that great, so I never tried this out. I'd like to see if anyone has any luck with it.

Hmm, so somebody actually did it. In theory, the Java version of Minecraft should work on, well, anything. It just has to be compiled for the architecture. That app would probably run reasonably well on an Nvidia Shield.

I have an Atom Z3770 tablet with 2GB RAM running Windows 10.. give me 5mins and I'll test it for you. IIRC, it runs okayish on low settings.

I pay about $15 a week for verizon daily plans plus $20 for unlimited texting. I can never seem to save enough for the
$50 plan so I figure just set aside $20-30 a month and get the tablet. I already have wifi. Thats how I get on here through
my 360. Then I have to pay for my wife's phone too. Thats another $10ish a week and she already has a tablet and access to wifi
away from home. Same with my friends minus paying for their phones. So thats $80 for me plus $40 for my wife.
Plus one of us is usually home while the other is out.

@xiae I looked into that, most are WELL beyond my price range. I could save up for a pc with that kind of money lol.
Although I did find one on ebay for $49 just one problem. It only has 1gb ram. Don't I nedd 4gb or better to run pe?

@xiae. I can't really afford most the smartphones. But if the tablet can only have either the apps or minecraft then the choice
is fairly simple. I just was hoping I could find a cheap one that could do both. Since that is a no-go then I'll just get a $30
android from ebay and use that as my phone. I at least have minecraft console to tide me over till I get a pc.
Thanks for the help though. Would've wasted the cost for pe on a tablet that couldn't play it otherwise.

And my Nexus 4 runs Minecraft PE perfectly fine.

Remember if your planning to buy Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, you may purchase it off the Windows 10 Store, or own the PC edition.
