AHH! THE BSOD!! I hate the BSOD, I experienced it once (most likely because of my fan, too many tabs open and so many chrome tabs open :P), I was super scared, I thought my PC was dead but it wasn't well, at least my PC wasn't dead, did you ever experience it? Have you gotten scared about it?
When I get a BSOD it's not scary, it's annoying. There should of course be one, otherwise what else will the system do? Just freeze up and not give you any indicator as to what caused the lockup? It's nice getting the error display and dump so you can figure out what peeved Windows.
I have it set to restart on error, so I have never seen a BSOD. For the problem stuff, wouldn't it just be logged in the dump file anyway?

Why the heck wouldn't you want the BSoD? It's a godsend for troubleshooting. You can pretty much type in the error message into Google to see what the problem is. I had to do this to find out that my computer was acting up due to a bad stick of RAM.
I remember when I built my PC, I got a BSOD for installing my CPU cooler incorrectly. I guess the CPU overheated and the system shut down due to it. Other than that, I got another BSOD because my Installation of Windows was corrupted. Other than that, my PC has been running very well and is blazing fast.
they need to go back to the windows 95/98 era where you could just continued working after a BSOD incident.
"It may be possible to continue normally" was a lie 90% of the time. And even when it did work, the first thing you usually did was reboot anyway. I much prefer the NT approach which favours system integrity, Though I can understand why Windows 9x didn't take that approach, since it had none.
