I'm looking for a USB gamepad (aka. hand-held controller) that is comparable with most, if not all modern games. (For older games I'd be able to juse use JoyToKey or something)
I've been searching and some friends and some websites pointed me towards Logitech Controllers. So I looked at their selection, looked at some reviews, and gave my personal opinion on them, and here's what I've deducted...
Logitech Gamepad F310
Their cheapest option. really so cheap that it isn't pleasant to hold for extended periods of time, and also the joysticks have a very large dead-zone.
Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510
The same as the F310, but with rubber grips and a soft-cased bottom so that it feels good to hold. Also with the added addition of dual vibration motors.
Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710
The same as the F510, but wireless,
So I have deducted that out of those three the F510 is my best choice, for I don't care for wireless features. It just adds to the price, adds to the complexity, adds to the weight, and adds charging time. All for what, so that you can sit a meter more away from your screen. Not a big deal for me.
Anyways, this is mostly what I was looking into due to the fact that it's decently priced (I think), and it's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.
What am I asking? I'm simply asking if anybody has any better options before I decide what I want to buy.
Requirements:
Play Station Button Layout
Full-Sensitivity Joysticks (Not a giant dead-zone)
Windows 8 Compatible
Must be USB
Below ~$40
Aside from that, it can be any brand you want to share, any colour, any USB version, whatever. Just open my eyes to things that you wonderful people on the Minecraft Forums have done so on so many occasions, and I know that there's somebody here who has an idea or two to throw in!
