I've been a mac user for as long as I can remember and I'm thinking of making the switch to pc. I have no problem to switching from mac to pc, except that I don't know If it really worth it. Now here's my question: Any tips on how to use windows 7 and what are the differences from a mac and a pc? Oh and here's a bonus question: which gaming laptop would you recommend?
Mac OS compared to a PC is no longer the huge difference is was on the 90's. Back then the difference was great- they used different processors, the Operating system was structured completely differently, and the design goals were completely different. The old Mac OS I still think was and still is one of the best-designed User Interfaces ever, particularly considering the limitations of the time.
With OSX The OS basically combined with NextSTEP and created this weird illegitimate child that Apple has been trying to fix for years. The end result is basically Windows with a hint of Classic OS and with names for things to match Classic.
By the way, I don't know why people think using a Mac and a PC are somehow mutually exclusive. The fact that my desktop and laptop run Windows doesn't stop my Mac SE from working anymore than buying a MacBook would suddenly destroy my laptop and desktop.
The desktop is unsplit, I'll explain.
On the desktop, For Mac the Dock and the Menu are split onto the top and bottom.
While with Windows all you will need is down the bottom.
If you are decent with Computers this shouldn't be any problem.

Windows 7- Taskbar, each window has its own "menu bar"
That's about it.
