Are you installing just by selecting one of those listed or importing?
Are you trying to use the Jar or Native (I think Native is 1.6.91), if you want to change it go to Settings (under your account) then to Minecraft, then Jar and Native opens will be at the bottom. (Referring to the image).
Try changing those and see what happens, otherwise if need be backup your launcher contents if need be that you want to keep and reinstall the launcher to see if that fixes/changes anything.

Hi!
When I try to install a modpack through Twitch and I want to play, launcher 1.6.91 starts and not the original, how can I fix it?
My configuration:
iMac with Catalina S.O.
i9
16GB RAM[/pre]

Just be careful as those used with the Native and Jar differ (at least from my experience, not sure if this is normal or not but videos out there for Jar exists, I recommend some of ScottoMotto's https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZoL0ttJ_fGVunigFcwLotg/search?query=jar twitch).
