Hello I am wanting to rent a server and run a few mods on it for 1.14. However the mods that i am wanting to run are all for 1.12 like tinker construct is the main one that i want. I have searched for a 1.14 version and i am not able to find one. is there something that is close to this mod i can run in its place for 1.14? I have not setup a minecraft server before for asking noob questions.
When it comes to servers I'm not able to answer that question unfortunately. If you want to know how to setup a Fabric server go to their Discord here and they should be able to help you: https://discord.gg/v6v4pMv When it comes to Forge (can't really answer either and fit inline with my answer of Tinker's mods for 1.14) but I'd say look around at some tutorials if you can.
There is Tinkers like mods for 'Fabric' another modloader. The mods that are similar are 'Materialisation' and 'Tool Builder'.
Many for Forge 1.14.4 are just tool and ore mods not a Tinker's like approach with patterns (from my experience as I cover them a lot and post mod updates daily on a Forum Thread, link in my signature). While Tool Builder doesn't have patterns or blocks like Materialisation does if you wanted different types of tools and weapons but just with heads and tool rods then go with it instead. If you prefer the patterns approach then go with the other. That's the most noticeable differences between them. There is no smeltery multiblock just the tools and stats as the focus of these mods so if the smeltery is what sold you on Tinkers your out of luck when it comes to 1.14 and would have to result to tech mods with machines instead to double your ores.
