I was downloading 1.10.2 forge on my MAC (which, keep in mind, I have never really had any trouble with this topic), and when I tried opening it with and without Jar Launcher, it wouldn't pop up on my desktop and instead a message popped up: "The Java JAR file 'forge-1.10.2-12.18.3.2185-universal.jar' could not be launched.". I have no idea what to do, and I haven't seen any way to fix this problem anywhere. If I could get some help, that would be great!
For example, if you click on an audio file, a program should open to play the file, same for a picture. Java has files associated with its programming, most notable is .jar.

Do you have Java installed?
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
Yep.
Sounds like Java is not associated with its own files. Not sure how to do that on a Mac.

What do you mean by "not associated with its on files"?

Try this.
