I have many similar blocks, with multiple variants, and model baking results in a OutOfMemoryException (or freezes my whole computer if I allocate more RAM).
Blocks all use the same Java class, the same JSON models and has the same variants. Only the PNG textures change.
Is there a way :
- to use only one blockstate JSON file for all? (currently I have one file for each, with the same "variants" section (but different "textures" sections)
- to reduce the memory needed? for example by loading only the generic blockstate at startup and by drawing the correct PNGs only when the block is needed to display, or by loading models only when needed?
