Hi there!
So, I am making a modpack (for personal use only).
But some mods I really like (Orespawn, Mutant Creatures, Etc.), are only in the MC version 1.7.10.
Although my modpack MC version 1.12.2.
Is there an easy way to update the mod (personal use) from 1.7.10 to 1.12.2?
If there is could somebody help me do it? I do not know any Java at all.
Sorry, but there are many significant changes that require serious Java programming to update. Between 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 major things changed like moving to the blockstate system with JSON resources, changing the recipe system, changing the achievement system to advancements, changing the way everything is registered, adding a capability system, changing the names of many fields and methods, plus all the actual gameplay changes like being able to wield in both hands.
If you knew Java well I could probably point you to information to help get you through the process but it would still be a lot of work. Best bet is to ping the mod authors to convince them to update.
Well, for Orespawn, they explicitly said that they stopped updating their mod and made a seperate "minecraft-copy" for orespawn.
But I will try to convice the owner of the other mods. Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.
Please avoid constantly hassling creators to update, if they are doing it they are doing it as fast as they can. If they have discontinued the mod, they are unlikely to start again. Ask politely if an update is potentially in the works, and not more then once. But good luck :).

I know it has been a while since you originally posted this but someone (Not the original mod creator) updated the Mutant creatures mod to more recent versions: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/mutant-beasts
