I'd like to install the *same mod* twice if possible - meaning the exact mod but running twice simultaneously in the same game and on the same version.
The mod in question is CustomNPCs. When I try adding the jar duplicate twice, Minecraft tells me there's an issue and won't load.
I'm not a programmer and I'm guessing the scripting would conflict in someway, but I'm also not a programmer and wondering if this IS possible, and if so - how?
Why would you want to do this? The only case I can think of is if you had a mod that added structures or something and you wanted them to be more common, but that isn't how things work;both mods would try to place them at the same locations and at best you'd have double-stacked structures (like this, which is caused by the game populating the same chunk twice); if you want to change the frequency you use the mod's configuration file if it has one.

I think he wants 1 of the version features and the updated version features or so. I have no clue as to what he needs the same mod twice and its confusing if he means 1.7.10 or 1.12.2 & CustomNPC has no structures is a roleplaying mod.

Common Logic, Mods can not be duplicated that goes for every mod & version of Minecraft

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
