What exactly didn't work? Is it still giving you the same error?
Also, the block code you posted linked to the wrong thing. But more importantly, did you register the block once for each metadata value in your ClientProxy?

Sorry for the confusion, I copied that error from my other post, forgetting that I changed the code...
Everything is registered. (I also fixed the block link)
So the proper error is:
[16:05:01] [Client thread/ERROR] [FML]: Model definition for location lockmod:BlockIronChest#variant=iron not found
[16:05:01] [Client thread/ERROR] [FML]: Model definition for location lockmod:BlockIronChest#variant=steel not found
Hey all!
So the item part in my custom dynamic itemblock cannot find its model definition, the block part is fully static (I bypassed the json rendering)
The error is the following:
[21:32:34] [Client thread/ERROR] [FML]: Model definition for location lockmod:BlockBasicChest#variant=stone not found
please help!

Post Your Code.
It is good that you provide the error, but there are many things that can cause it.
However, before posting anything else see if this website helps you pin down the problem.
Thanks,
I have already referenced that and many other websites to try to find help
I will post my files to see if you can spot something I cant
Block Class

Your .json file lists only one variant:
Maybe add the definition for variant=stone just like the error suggested.
tried that, didn't work
You changed this:

OK, so it is not recognizing that either variant is there. Is your .JSON file the same as before?
Is the .JSON file in the right spot? I believe it should here:
src > main > resources > assets > your_mod_id > models > block > BlockIronChest.json
Where your_mod_id is, of course, your actual mod id.
Make sure everything is lower-case (Java is case-sensitive even if Windows is not). Also make sure the last folder is named "block" not "blocks"
Also make sure the file is named BlockIronChest.json, not iron_BlockIronChest.json like the paste-bin suggests
