Hi,
So i've looked all over youtube and these forums for a post on how to set up the forge modding workspace for 1.7.2 on mac, but all i've found is for windows. Ive followed those, but have always gotten stuck at some point. The closest i've gotten is with this video: , but at the end couldn't get the gradlew commands to work. If anyone out there knows how to to it, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. Also, it would be preferable if i could use IntelliJ Idea 12 just because i am used to it and i personally find it better than eclipse, although either way is fine.
Actually the gradle installation is very easy, you only have to run one command line in windows
gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse
And all will be done automatically, for mac users i guess you only have to run the same mac ways.
I remember to have seen something about this in the forge forum, in the gradle section. http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/board,118.0.html
Try Pahimar's Let's Mod Reboot series.
I'm a Mac user and I've found that you actually need to drag the Gradlew terminal command file into the terminal in order for it to work. Try that or do chmod a+x gradlew

Actually, he did state that he wanted to use IntelliJ.
It's the same thing, but replace eclipse with intellij.

Let's do some math.
1/3 = 0.333...
1/3 * 3 = 1
0.333... * 3 = 0.999...
1 = 0.999...
1 - 0.999... = 0.999... - 0.999...
0.0...1 = 0
0.0...1 * 10... = 0 * 10...
1 = 0
