As most of you probably know, 1.15 will be updating combat, (go watch a video on it if you didn't already know). I have some suggestions that could be added in it.
Crits do more: Critical attacks should deal slightly more damage, do more damage to armor and shields, and of course have higher knockback
Clashes: If two players land a critical on eachother at the same time, there should be a chance for them to enter "clash mode". I have two different ideas of what could happen during this.
1. Random Letters appear on the screen and whoever types all the letters first wins the clash
2. Whoever clicks the most within 5-10 seconds wins the clash
The loser of the clash recieves 2-3 times as much damage and knockback.
More ways of arrow ignition: If you charge up your bow and hold it up to a campfire, it should light on fire. There would be a sound indicating your arrow being lit on fire
Other: Landing a critical attack on an arrow should deflect it back to your enemy. Shooting an arrow with another arrow should make both arrows fall to the ground
