Something incredibly annoying I've noticed about Bedrock Edition is that there is a lack of a pause feature. When you change your settings, the game still goes on. It probably has something to do with the fact that the whole point of the merging of all editions was to provide cross-platform play. The game seems to act like every game is a multiplayer game. While the lack of a pause feature is acceptable for multiplayer games, it is ridiculous that the game lacks a pause feature when you are playing alone. What is even more annoying is when your controller disconnects and you have to go track more batteries down. By the time you got your batteries, there's a good chance that you've already been blown up by a creeper. In fact, the other day I was changing my settings and a creeper blew me up out of nowhere.
So, obviously, there should be a pause feature.
Or maybe I'm the only player on the forums that doesn't play multiplayer.

Turn off Online Mode in your world settings, or when you are creating a world.
