Just because of some designers preference against farms doesn’t mean make a functionally different game from java. Thanks but no thanks
If java isn’t getting a mob dencity cap, why should we?
Some things might have to be functionally decreased for whatever preformance reason such as number of loaded chunks or max number of possible mobs but in no way does that require a borderline game breaking mechanic like mob dencity cap unless its going to be universal.
Those farms power are ability to build in this game from keeping our tools in good repair for gathering materials or giving us access to stuff that would otherwise be extremely hard to gather in needed numbers for our builds also, like sea lanterns or glow stone etc...
If I wanted something different I’d play ark or 7 days to die but I play minecraft for building and in a manor that isn’t necessarily akin to godmode(creative). Taking hours however now to fully repair my tools is not fun though. Its become faster to spam sell vegetables and then spam buy bottle of enchanting to load exp dispencer then to actually exp off of mobs... let me guess are those going to be next to nerf? Enough is enough already!
Worse part about it is not even the farms. Quite often the spawns get stuck somewhere bad and then I suddenly stop seeing mobs to kill for fun. Nether that isn’t dangerous, caves that feel empty...WTF!
I think I may have replied to this same post elsewhere, but I'm really not having this issue or finding it any different to console edition. I have a spider spawner not far from my base and it takes me about five minutes, maybe ten at a push to reach level 30
Exp to 30 is 1395... Are you saying in 5 minutes you manage to kill 279 spiders? Even at hypothetical max of 5 every 10 seconds, thats still only 150 spiders. I never see that max happen even, more like 12 per minute and maybe 60 spiders in same time frame.
Removing a chunk of land can be about 15,000+ blocks to bedrock but for the most part it takes 2 max upgraded diamond pickaxes and some side help from diamond shovel. Thats 3 tools needing repair every outing at 150 mobs a piece(450ish mobs). A single spawner would take me damn near 37-40 minutes...per player. A dark room farm was atleast 3-4x as fast once caves were all lit ip, could fill up if in range of any player, and be made where we need it.
The inconvenience is a problem but my biggest concerns have usually been about glowstone and sea lanterns which are often quite necessary for many of our builds. Raided most nearby ocean monuments already and the nether is getting quite dim(glowstone free) near by. The travel distance is getting horrendous and without witch farm or guardian farm working very well, things are getting quite slow. Had to break down and start using torches again which is quite tacky

You also need to remember this is used on less powerfull systems then java can be used on, ie mobile phones and tablets
I have a skelly spawner and it services 4 people on the realm with enough bones to keep them happy and faily quickly am really happy with it.
Yes i would like more mobs in certain places on the surface i have no problems with the amount in caves i do worry about the rates, but then i come across a dead end cave and find 10 or so in the same spot yes it need tinkering but overall not a deal breaker.
Not to mention gunpowder reserves are running dry. Can’t support continued use of elytra very well for multple players Fun is seriously getting sapped out of this game. Thanks but no thanks
I believe I said five, maybe ten minutes. Certainly not longet, I have quite a short boredom threshold. But if you don't like it, play java. What was the issue?
Yes, game designers CAN make the game how they want it. They are the designers. A good game designer will make a game without compromise otherwise it becomes watered down in an attempt to please everyone.
No one is forcing you to play it if you don't like it
ConArt70 This is a suggestion forum... Why would they even have a forum like this if it wasn’t to understand the desires of their player base and the impacts of their design. If I were to simply go to Java, what was the point of Mojang continuing to work with 4J studios.
It wouldn’t be just me but these changes they’ve made have negatively impacted aspects of the game that have made it undesirable to play for many of my friends and seeing as youtubers have expressed disappointment too, its quite easy to say a large amount of the overall player base as well.
This forum has nothing whatsoever to do with the designers of the game, whether or not they choose to look at it is another matter. They may find suggestions they like but what you need to bear in mind is that when people are happy with something they tend not to complain. People unhappy are the ones that generally complain in forums, thus giving the impression that their views speak for the majority when in actual fact they represent a minority. And it'll be a cold day in hell before I listen to the views of a youtuber jumping on a band wagon in an attempt at attracting subscribers. Like I've said elsewhere, not everyone will like bedrock. The beauty of it is you can go play older editions or java. Most people I know prefer bedrock (which doesn't mean it's better) as it has lots of things that console players have been wanting for years.
