So I'm super new into Minecraft and I play it on my Vita. I am fully aware it' not the best version to play it on but I love how it feels in my hand far better than PS4 controller and Keyboard.
I really enjoy the game and glad i got it while there was less hype for it. I love building and creating my own towns and protecting villages from zombies.
But as i continue to play, there were small but significant things that broke my immersion of the game and felt like there are basics just for the sake of being there. I start to feel lonely in the open world and clusterphobic when mining. Im sure the mining part is just something ill have to deal with but i feel the open world can be more immersive. Specifically with NPCs. I can only hope that I don't sound like a complete newbie and make you all laugh for my suggestions but here goes anyways:
First things first, having to buy skins to "personalize" your player character. I know the PC master race will laugh at this suggestion as they are able to mod their player characters at will. But it still baffles me how there's no option to at least make basic customization features. The skin's are great but not amazing.
So suggestion #1) Allow basic customization feature but still allow skins to play a part. It doesn't
Have to go in full depth or as creative as the skin'. Available in store but it would still be welcomed. Just skin, hair, shirt, pants/shorts/skirt and I suppose shoes (optional). On top of that be able to choose the "villager" bodytype along with other already introduced bodytype vanilla game so we can customize as well.
Purchasable Skinpacks can still be integral to customization so if Mojang wants them to be profitable, they still can. For example, i bought the skinpack where I can be the Journey character maybe now allow it to be part of customization such as wearing the robed cape as an option.
Secondly With efforts to choosing your own player character even if you're Using a purchased skinpack nothing looks worst than armor interfering with it. So a good option would be to turn off armor visibility at least in the main gameplay such as survival. Even if you're playing the game in first person you still see your player character through the menus.
Third, the human type enemies and NPC tend to all look the same. For example Ivokers, Witches, and Vindicators all have that same Muppet look to them. While Zombies and Husks seem to be just a variation of "Steve".
For villagers its even more apparent because their clothes are the same with just slightly different color to tell what kind of villager they are. All of this really causes a divide into how I see Minecraft worlds.
Suggestion #3: Update the enemies to have more variation. Have Witches be redesigned to be closer to the "Alex" default skin. Have Alex versions of the zombies, husks. also make female Villagers as Well with their own type of grunt. Something to make the immersion better.
This will personally help me feel more immersed in this world. I won' feel like a stranger in this world to play with but someone who belongs in this world (that can also play with).
Sorry if these ideas feel ridiculous but I thought I five it a go and also see what kind of community I'm dealing with as I'm new and this is my first attempt at interacting with the community.
