Hello! I know very little of the minecraft commands and not as experience and immersed with it as i used to be haha, so i need a bit of help.
On my realm, I have a death scoreboard, which obviously, displays player deaths. Just for shits and giggles, i want a message command to run through the chat when one of my friends die.

I have an idea of it being-
execute if score @a
and past that i get a bit stuck haha
anyways, thank you!!

I know how to do this in Bedrock.
/execute @a[scores={playerDeaths=5}]
In java it should be similar but not totally positive
