okay, so I’m okay with redstone. I know the bare bones basics but the project I need help with is a relatively complex one and the videos I’ve seen of these types of builds date back to 2012. A lot has changed since then. I’m trying to create redstone boss fights in my adventure world that I’ve had for about 5 years now. If anybody wants to join and add there name to our build boards I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m on PS4 so my PSN id is trosclairdm
ty to any who can give advice/instruction or help.
Hello all, or any....I am trying to expand on my limited knowledge of redstone ...specifically pistons for doors I have a 3 x 2 sideways opening door that works well, thanks to MrCrayFish, have puzzled out how to make a second door vertically opening behind the first one (at least the bottom half thus far, but cannot figure out how to be able to open from BOTH sides.... can anyone help? attaching a picture of my mess so far. Tried to make it a double piston actuating on the bottom half, and ALMOST have it...just need a push!

Are you trying to make the doors open from both sides or stay open regardless of which side they were opened from? And why do you have 2 doors in the first place?
If you can provide some answers / be more clear then I can help.

Hey, so this post was before the bedrock update. The idea was to make key card doors and several other things. We needed redstone boss fights, which we accomplished until bedrock broke everything. Now what we need is people who are great with commands

Hey Avnmech82, there should also be videos on how to do what you are asking for but since bedrock the old mechanics are broken. So, I don't really know unless you want to use command blocks.

Ah, I didn't actually notice the date. Weird that someone replied to it with their own problem and months later...
Keycards and bosses are simple in bedrock.
You can name items and then use command blocks to detect when the item is dropped. You can put the location of your door and add a small radius. This also works with hoppers.
For an added layer of security, use tags as well.
As for bosses, you can give them strength/hp effects and set abilities to fire off on timers. For example, I had a zombie boss which teleported to a random enemy in the arena every 10 seconds. There were particles signifying the zombie was about to teleport and so the player could time their movement ability to dodge the damage. Another boss was a skeleton which fired a hail of arrows above players every 15 seconds.
If you want each boss or each player to have different magical items, you can tag projectiles as soon as they leave each entity which allows you to track which projectile is whose.

Thanks dude. You should hop in our server one day. We have worked on it for several years and have been trying to make our version of a Wyncraft like server. We could use more people who know how to do stuff
I use Xbox, look at bottom of post, and I’ve been recently working with Redstone, so friend me if possible and message me or I will forget and thing you are a creepy dude XD

Thanks for the offer. Nowadays I work on java servers since they have a lot more features. However, I might have to check out your server sometime. Bedrock is neat because there is a very set list of commands and mechanics that are possible so it's feasible to learn them all.
