I am new to Minecraft, so this may seem like a dumb question to most.
I bought minecraft for my windows PC and I really enjoy it and have played it a lot. When I travel, I want to continue playing it on my my Android Smartphone, so I downloaded Minecraft from the Play Store and installed it on my phone. When I open the app it ask me to log in to my account, but when I enter my Mojang account that I use to log into the PC version, the Android version say that my account does not exist.
So there are two different companies selling Minecraft?
I don't understand. I understand there are different versions, but I am not trying install the PC version on my phone. I installed the Android version. But I should be able to use the same account on both. I have many other software that I have both a PC and Android version and use the same login for both.
That is a long story to explain, I suggest to read up history of minecraft, mojang and Microsoft on the wiki.
It seems that there is great confusion here. I searched around and a lot of people are like me and do not get what the heck is going on. It's like three different companies are selling the same dang game and all require a separate login to get into your account.
This makes me never want to play Minecraft again. It's too confusing and poorly managed. There is an old saying; "Do one thing, do it well." I guess whoever is in charge of Minecraft forgot the wisdom of this advice.

What is going on?
Mojang accounts are for Java edition. Microsoft accounts are for bedrock. Those 2 versions are incompatible with each other.
