Ok so i was playing on the bedrock edition of minecraft and noticed that when i use the /summon Item command, i get a syntax error stating that "Item" was not found. i put in the command correctly, with the right tags and id, but i could not spawn a diamond at the coordinates. the command works for mobs, but it wont work for dropped items. why? i would post this on a forum for bedrock edition, but there isn't one. can someone help me? im on the xbox 1

In Minecraft Bedrock it does not work. This is only available for Java edition.
Instead, you could clone a chest with the item in it. Then in a command block do /fill <coordinates of the chest> air 0 destroy. This will drop the item. Then you could do in a command block /kill @e[name="Chest"]

Well, this section of the forum is for the 'bedrock edition'. Minecraft = Bedrock. Unfortunately I've never used commands so can't help you there.
