You still miss the point. I want to convert over and will, ONCE the bugs are fixed.
At the moment the console version is better than this new version. Why? Because it doesn't crash continuously, the UI is better, and I can still play my world. So at the moment, I wouldn't recommend converting over to anyone. The new version is not dumbed down, not sure where you got that from, but it is a definitely a step backwards. How anyone can think a game that crashes the xbox is not a step backwards from one that doesn't? Right now all the updates are about fixing bugs to just trying to bring it up to the previous versions. But maybe you are one of the lucky ones where everything is working fine for you on the xbox with this new version.
It is a choice. And for the moment I am sticking to the version that is actually playable. Once everything is fixed, then of course I will be forced to convert to the new version if I want any of the new content.
As for your other comment, sure minecraft is a great game and the old versions can still be fun. But what keeps it going is the new content.
No I didn't miss the point I know console edition is good it's a pc port to xbox.
well I haven't had a single crash since 1.2.2 and they weren't very frequent prior to that. The ui isn't that different really and all my worlds seem to be converting ok now. Maybe there's a problem on your console?

guis for console edition are way different in windows 10 edition and it's alot more unstable. As for 1.12 that has nothing to do with console edition.
No, I didn't miss that part. My point is that a lot of the complaints slating bedrock also complain that it has less content, or doesn't work as well, or is a step backwards in some way, or is dumbed down, etc, etc, etc., therefore, stick to the console edition if its so much better. Yes, you're right, it won't get any more updates. Thats kinda tough, but you know what? There are lots of old games I love and they don't get updates anymore either. Minecraft is a rare game in that it has lasted so long. What you have now is the original console edition which is still very playable and the new bedrock edition. You have the choice.
ModPacker...Bedrock edition is the new Minecraft game
You didn't miss that part, you missed the point, he's saying he doesn't like how the version of minecraft with harder controls and less content including dumbed down graphics is getting the updates while the already still prevalent and proper version isn't, which sucks because now we're stuck with a mobile game instead of an actual new engine
modpacker...bedrock for cross platform is currently at 1.2.3 version. This is the bedrock Minecraft forum, not pc java version. I think maybe you're getting confused?
fallout nerd...i don't see what you mean about harder to control? And less content?? And dumbed down graphics??? Are we all talking about the same thing here? Bedrock has infinite worlds, greater render distance, cross platform compatibility, realms, multiplayer servers, smoother gameplay, shader mods on the way, err, have I missed something??
technically, its just called Minecraft now (if you are playing better together/bedrock whatever) but I am using "Bedrock" as this is the name used in the content changelogs for this version. But Minecraft is the accurate name. Minecraft:Java for PC players, etc
I am having a similar issue, set up a grinder on a zombie spawner. However after speaking like 7 zombies the spawner stops spawning. Makes it a really inefficient XP farm.
