I've been working on this map for a 1.5+ years now on Xbox one and I synced the map after I downloaded the better together update and now half of everything I have built is just forest. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I've converted the map multiple times and nothing changes. I did notice that the map is 202mb and I after I convert it, it is around 132-147mb (Though I'm not sure if the new update compresses any data while converting it.)

I might have a workaround. I helped my friend recovered his. I haven't hear from him the difference between the worlds' file size yet. He got his big castle and auto farm builds back that were gone by new chunk generation. As of now, do NOT delete worlds from COnsole Edition.
Imported the world I'd been working on for the past 4-5 years into the new Minecraft game and so far everything looks great EXCEPT the maps. I have a large scale world that I have mapped in it's entirety before, but then it got deleted so I had started all over again. Now the maps have two different types, a locator map and a regular map I guess. I want the maps to show the entire square of each "realm" as I had been calling them but now they just show the small general area that my character is in. Also no X, Y, Z coordinates either. Anyone understand what I'm talking about and have an idea of whether or not it will be fixed? I've relied heavily on my maps for years.....
I have also been having this problem where more than half of my old world gets overwritten by new chunks, My world is around 310 mb and ive had it for 2-3 years but when i convert over to the new better together minecraft, it seems to delete about a 20 chunk radius in each direction from the world spawn.
i also miss the co-ordinates on the map . i made locator maps to and zoomed in to 2/4 but cannot make them 3/4 ....ive opened 4 maps at 2/4 and thats a huge area but.. no villages or anything found ? this is just a auto made world not one i uploaded .. cant enlarge my maps .. cant find a village ... moved my nether portal to far side of a 2nd map and still goes in the same place as 1st one and we cannot find the nether fortress at all lol will finish my trail but i dont think i will bother buying realms till this is sorted out

I am having the same issue. Bump for help.
The 1.2.1 update just came out today. Have you downloaded it and tried re-converting your world again?
Pretty sure they didn't fix this in the latest bug fix update. Major bug, but looks like we need to wait longer.

Its still happening after the latest update. This is disappointing to say the least...
