I have an add-on where there are extra entities, namely "wooden wheels" on MCPEDL. This is done by creating a unique identifier that does not start with "minecraft:". However, I would like to assign a new data value for a spawn egg so that i can /give (command) myself a spawn egg for this custom entity, and be able to give it in trades. How could I do this?
I have created a custom entity in minecraft pocket edition that can be spawned. Refer to my entity.json file below. Look namely at the "spawn_egg" section. DO NOT attempt to base your "animation" and "animation_controller" section upon mine as my entity currently can not render its animations.
Yes, my resource pack also has this, however I do not know what data value of spawn egg this is now. I need to know so I can make it tradeable and /give-able. There is only one item "spawn_egg" but the data value indicated what entity it is. How do I know what the data value is for this custom entity?
Have you tried using /give cpmmand to give yourself the spawn egg for your custom entity? If so, how?
Find which spawn egg is last one in the creative inventory, go to here, go down to the part were it shows how to summon the mob using commands (make sure to click the tab for the minecraft edition you are playing), and add 1 (note: that should only apply to the first custom mob you created, if you have multiple, keep adding 1 * (the number of the custom mob you created following the last vanilla mob)).
Thanks, the idea seems logical, but when I try it I find that ravager is the last spawn egg in the creative inventory aside from my custom entities, and the command for that is "/give @p spawn_egg 1 59" meaning the data value is 59. However, when I try "/give @p spawn_egg 1 60" I get the error message "Invalid command syntax: no such spawn_egg exists with that data value."
Please try your suggestions on your own custom entity to verify that they work before you suggest them to me. I saw that you have already made your custom entity, so it should not be too hard.
