I've built a behavior pack specifically for a world I'm making. It only contains new blocks, items, and recipes. I've applied it to a test world and made sure everything is working perfectly. I've recently updated the UUIDs to brand new UUIDs and updated the version. I've also linked the Resource Pack under dependencies. Everything works perfectly in my test world and it shows there aren't any errors.
When I download a copy of the world from the realm, add the behavior pack to the world, and load the world back into the realm the behavior pack is nowhere to be found. It asks me if I'm ok with running the scripts just like it does with the test world but when the world opens and I look for my blocks or any of my items, I can't find them. I've placed the blocks in the world before uploading the world to the realm and they just disappear once I load the world into the realm. I've gone as far as directly adding the behavior pack the the world files before uploading.
What do I need to do to get the behavior pack onto the realm. My girlfriend is helping me build the world but she's only able to play from her Xbox. So I need the behavior pack on the realm where she has access to it as well since she can't log into any of my private worlds on windows 10. It's also important because when the world reaches its beta phase, it's going to need to be playable on realms.
Realms have a problem with addons not working. As far as I understand it, it does not work for addons that add resources and do not just change behaviours. But it might follow other rules.
So in other words, it's a bug and there's nothing I can do until it's been fixed? Has this always been the case or is this another bug reintroduced by 1.12? And if what you say is accurate, why do marketplace packs work fine on realms.
For example. I uploaded cobble clicker to my realm just before 1.12 came out and everything worked fine. I mean, it didn't work perfectly but I'm assuming that was the map makers problem and not the realm. I can't remember if we were still playing it on the realm after 1.12 released or if I had pulled it down by that point.
Last question? If this is a bug, is there a ticket in the bug tracker for it, and if so, can I get a link?
I have no answer to either of your questions I just know that my own addon and another addon that add stuff do not work on realms. I think the bedrock team is working it out as they go, since there are still a lot of bugs regarding the addons.
I have a same problem in my realm. my res and beh pack run perfectly in my offline world.after been uploaded to realm, all of these new added blocks and items disappared. hope this bug can be fixed
Adding new items, blocks, or mobs, or adding/changing recipes requires that experimental gameplay be turned on. Realms will not allow experimental gameplay, and so this toggle is turned off for your realm. This is not a bug, it is working as intended, you have to wait until these features are available without turning on experimental to use them in a realm.
