I have done many studies on the far lands. They were removed from the PC edition in Beta 1.8, but they still exist in Pocket Edition. When the Beta 1.8 version was released, the terrain became much more flat. I would rather the hilly terrain that existed beforehand. However, this is about the Xbox versions. Currently, the Xbox world size is 5120x5120. This is very small, and may interfere with gameplay for some users. I don't know this for certain, but I am pretty sure the reason that the world was limited was to avoid the far lands from occurring. The far lands occur at 12,550,821. There is an incredibly large difference between 5120 and 12,550,821. This is why I believe that the world border for Xbox one should occur at 10,000,000 blocks in any direction. This will make it so that the majority of players will never get to the edge of the world. Now, there will be some extreme fixes that must be made in order to do this update. There may be errors from floating-point precision errors to maybe even crash bugs. However, they managed to remove all of those errors, plus the far lands in Minecraft PC. I think that they can do it in Xbox one, too. Most players will never actually experience the part of the Xbox world where the glitches happen, so I think, for the most part, you are pretty safe. Another reason that I would like the larger world is that the biomes in the normal worlds are smaller than the biomes in the other versions of Minecraft to compensate for less space. This makes it a lot more difficult to "build with the biome," or build a building that the biome adds to the look of the building, as some of the biomes are too small to even build in. Anyways, there will be many advantages from gameplay to building that Xbox One worlds that are 10,000,000 blocks in any direction would give.

The reason Xbox One large worlds is that Microsoft caps data usage on games. Xbox One and Playstation 4 COULD SUPPORT bigger worlds, but the data caps prevent 4j from adding them.
the xbox one specs far surpass the PC required hardware to run huge worlds. Unfortunately, Xbox One MC is actually Xbox 360 MC ported.
(Think how Assassins creed 4 or COD Ghost was made on 360, and then at xbox one launch there were also XB1 copies of the game. Same deal)
the only difference between 360 and Xb1 MC is 1 map/25 maps. We are still held to xb360 mob limites, xb360 render distances, xb360 mountains that dont go over y130.
Also, data bandwidth limit caps isnts a thing. If so, Overwatch would be shut down, 10 hours of playing overwatch runs about 480gb of download. I used to run a MC xbox server 24/7, maybe 1gb of data per day.

i know its a bummer, but again I think this is a keep it uniform across all platforms, meaning to keep it same to all platforms...
Definitely need another world expansion soon. Hopefully after the next update they will work on an expansion so people can get some of the new features. No way I am starting a new world, but I really would love to have access to some of the new features from the last few big updates.

You actually can, any update they have will replace every chunk(in which you have never explored) with new chunks. This means that even if you have a large world, you can still encounter woodland mansions and ocean monuments.
