So, an issue I'm having with bows and anvils. I went to add on power to a bow that already had Power I. The second bow had Power II, so I should have gotten Power III right? NOPE. It stops at level two. Even when trying to use books for Power levels, it stops at Power II! And yes, I have tried switching the books/bows around in the anvil interface.
Only reason I encountered this is cause I tried swimming in lava and lost a good bow with Power V on it... :\

Haven't played that much in the last two months (blasphemy, I know) but if I remember correctly: I + I = II, I + II = II, II + II = III, II + III = III, etc.

Unless they've changed something.
Yes, indeed that is blasphemy, how dare you!
Joking aside, if the Power enchantment levels don't use basic math - addition - then there's something really wrong there. Cause II(2) + II(2) ≠ III(3) ... it should be II(2) + II(2) = IV(4).

Pretty sure that matches the Java version

Well, you know, not math so much as combining magically enchanted items. This is a game where apples come from oak trees after all.
So was I doing something wrong or... bug...? I'm not sure I have an answer.
To get to level III you'll need to combine your level I bow with another level I to get to II and then combine that with the level II bow you already have to get to III.

ARGH... why does enchanting need to be difficult again? I'll try this out when I get a chance i guess.
Enchanting has always been that way. Since power II and III are way more common and easily obtained, having them make a rare and powerful V would be overpowered. Needing at least two level 30 enchants for Power IV twice and the additional combining cost seems fair to me.
Found an issue related to the End. My spawn location has changed completely, despite what portal I get into, and there's 2 End portals in my map. My map was made around TU15 and I never had my End resetted.
1.) Any world with a command block in it now completely crashes upon loading.
2.) The portal noise is WAY too loud!
3.) The Ender Dragon is WAY too loud!
4.) The Ender Dragon rebirth is WAY TOO LOUD!
5.) Undead mobs will burn in the End if the light level is high enough.
6.) Pushing blocks beyond the End's borders deletes them.
7.) Any top layer of bedrock previously broken through some glitch involving pistons and TNT that I have no idea now to explain is now back in a weird state where it's not there, nor can be ascended through, but can have items tossed through it and be descended into.
8.) Once you pass Y=138 in the Nether, you cannot descend down again. There's an invisible layer of nothing that cannot be broken. Blocks can be placed there, but then become unbreakable, gravity affected blocks still fall, though, and ender pearls can be used to get back down.
9.) Naturally spanwed mob spawners will spawn one time and then default to a pig spawner that will not spawn pigs, even in the right conditions; player-placed spawners work normally, however. Further toying with this shows that all spawners break upon reloading a world. Player-placed spawners work fine until reloaded.
10.) Older worlds are lagging yet again except this time my world straight up crashed from it unless opening the creative menu while holding green glass is a bug.
Any world with a command block in it now completely crashes upon loading. This has broken multiple of my maps, one of which I spent nearly a year developing and refining.
Command blocks aren't officially in the game are they?

The block, its physical properties, texture, and description have been for ages, but have been unobtainable through normal means. I as a completionist had to have one in my texture world, at which point I discovered the previous version made them into an X-ray block.
Seeing this as an extremely useful tool for map-making, I added a few to one of my adventure maps, which took eight months to make, another two for the 40-some pages of dialogue for it, and another two to test and hammer out balancing issues. It really came in handy for finding little caves that I'd otherwise miss. Now the worlds are unplayable.

So, you hacked your game to attain an asset that can't be legitimately obtained and as a result it broke your save. I don't see how 4J has anything to do with that nor do they have any responsibility to fix it. In fact, it sounds to me that you just admitted to breaking Microsoft's terms of service.
Personally I would look at this as a lesson and move on.

Hacked, no, but whatever. They were gotten for my by someone who does know how to do that. I don't even have a functioning computer to even attempt something like that.
What I don't understand is why it was even put in the game if it was never intended to be used in the first place. It was textured for ages, then suddenly lost it, and now is either gone (which shouldn't that just cause to be deleted from the world then?) or bugged.
It seems like every update, lighting errors are getting worse. I just went on some of my oldest maps, only to see lighting errors everywhere.
Thats for sure! I went to a mob spawner I turned into a farm, its nice and dark so the mobs will spawn. I got down there, did one thing, and it lit up like there wasn't a roof!. Like daylight was spewing in from all directions!
Oh, and the mob farm isnt working. The spawners are broke. but thats a whole other issue i think is widely known about by now.
I had the same thing happen again except this time by using a water bucket on tall grass (one block high). Same world, but offline this time.
Stay fluffy~

When dying Leather armor, everything in the info box disappears except the armor rating. On PS4, it's worse. There the info box changes size randomly.

Looks like blocks and mobs no longer travel through nether portals. Tested this out on pc and its definitely broken in this update.
