I'm so confused. People are anticipating TU22, yet most other threads are talking about TU19 like it came out recently.
What TU has come out recently? I'm not on the game at the moment, so I can't exactly check.
TU 19 just came out recently as a content update... some people feel that there may be enough major bugs in this one to warrant 2 bug fix updates (which would be TU 20 and TU 21 respectively), so the speculation of the title of this thread is that the next 'content' update should be around TU 22... but even if there is only 1 bug fix, then the next content update would be TU 21 with TU 22 being the anticipated bug fix update for that version... either case the next contect shift should be evident in TU 22 whether there is 2 or only 1 bug fix updates.
Well, on title update 22 I really want mods and more achivements also slime blocks and please more biomes and command blocks it would make it alot better and I would get bored less but yall are doing a great job keep it up!
I'd like to see some different doors added... As well as a book and quill, though I know that's not going to happen. Bigger world would be nice, also. I'd like it if the villages spawned a little better... I really hate it when the villages spawn with huge holes in the roads, and the houses spawn so high the NPCs can't get back in their houses after it gets dark. And! I kinda wish the NPCs would spread out. Instead of ALL of them trying to enter the same house, usually the one closest to the well.
I *really* hope they fix the bug that causes your experiance bar to reset after you dismount a horse. That, is bullspit. I had like, 71 exp.. Got on a horse. Hopped off, and it was at zero. Made me so mad, I turned my game off, and didn't touch it again for a week.
I'd LOVE to see stained glass get added.
For the record, I only have a 360 at this present time. I hear the maps are bigger on the newer systems.
TU 22 Is PROBABLY the next big update for the xbox 360. What my question is; What do you expect/want to see in TU 22?
I want to see the Mega Taiga,Roofed Forest,Mesa and the Savannah biomes, as well as giant spruce trees, dark oak and acaica trees from 1.7
I also want Red Sandstone,Different doors/fences, and ocean monuments from 1.8.
What do you want to see?
TU22? What ever happened to TU21 the next update is TU20 bug fix, why do ppl keep skipping updates I mean what ever happened to TU18??, there was TU17 then TU19 no TU18 😱😱😱😱😱😱
Is it even possible to increase the world size of last gen consoles?
If it is then why haven't they already done so...?
Why would u need to increase it bigger? I mean 862x862x(252) is quite big if u ask me, that's 187,246,088 Blocks on the Xbox 360 Version *(counting air as a block)*
yeh unlimited map would be freakin awesome! But who needs it really?, and besides be easier to get Xbox one, the map size is x16 times bigger *(eg. 16 X360 maps would fit in the 5260x5260 map, so I counted anyways) 😱so awesome can't wait till get mine ☺️
... I mean 862x862x(252) is quite big if u ask me, that's 187,246,088 Blocks on the Xbox 360 Version *(counting air as a block)*
Not to nit pick... but your numbers are incrementally off by a very small margin ... 864x864x(255) (roughly 190,356,480 blocks), ranging from -432 to +431 in the X and Z directions and ranging from +1 to +255 in the Y direction (the 0 layer of bedrock is indestructible).

haha 😱 yeh I noticed I had wrong numbers but give or take it's still a lot 😄, plus it's Y:1 on creative only Y:4 survival 😄
I wouldn't get an Xbox one, if I was going to get a current gen console it would be a PS4!!!
That's all good and all but besides the point as this is a forum thread for Xbox 360 not Playstation 😱, and plus the current gen consoles are X360 and PS3 the next gen are Xone and PS4 😅 simples
No you are wrong, you are miss understanding the Terminology of "Generation" in the field of Technology.
x360 and PS3 are still the current gen consoles, and Xone and PS4 are still the next gen consoles.
By this same standard where what you "still" happen to be playing, NES is current gen for some people. Which it's not. Snipez had it right. The 360 and ps3 are OLD gen, obsolete, antiquated.
More to the point of this thread. I just updated for the "fix" 5 minutes ago. My world is still garbage. While the world doesn't have perma redstone lock anymore, and it seems smoother. What really mattered the most is still broken. The redstone. 90% of my doors, and various redstone powered contraptions, no longer function like they use too. 3x3 doors break instead of opening, 4x4 doors break instead of opening, same thing on 2x2 hidden flush doors, and hidden stairs cases. Tree farms no longer work, food dispensaries fail. Pretty much everything cool I had going on it it. Oh but torch keys still work, but those worked even before this fix.
Its disheartening to say the least, that with thousands of hours of relentless trial and error on redstoning an update that should only add content, breaks the best existing content. I'll wait and see if timing changes on the redstone mechanics can fix it, but I'm not holding my breathe.
The only thing about minecraft that makes it appealing to me, and I would wager the vast sum of those who've survived puberty, is redstone. Without redstone, a functioning redstone that doesn't change its rules every few months. Well, its the only thing that makes minecraft better than say, castleminer z. Without redstone its just a very pixilated voxel game.

I still disagree 😶 you also don't understand the terminology of "Generation" in technology, it's not when the console came out , it's about the specs http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/691088-xbox-one/66250847 see this is what makes a next gen console
and fyi NES is considered first gen console
anyways about your other point, have you removed and replaced ur red stone after you updated game to TU20?

I do agree with the Redstone stuff - it's the meat that sets the game apart.
It will take an age on larger, hidden contraptions, but I've found that if you remove anything that activates redstone or provides an update - torches, solar panels, etc - then replace them, things seem to work again. I'm unsure if the number of ticks between piston updates has been changed recently, but pistons seem slower now, between extension and retraction. It's probably just my imagination though
No you are wrong, you are miss understanding the Terminology of "Generation" in the field of Technology.
x360 and PS3 are still the current gen consoles, and Xone and PS4 are still the next gen consoles.
The terms "Next", "Current", and "Last" in relation to "Generation" is relative to what ever Generation is current at the time.
ie. There was a time when the XBox 360 (Generation 7) was considered a Next Gen Console, that was prior to it's release back in 2005-2006, and the Current Gen Console was the Xbox (Generation 6).
Generation 8 has recently hit the shelves and is being distributed, which many now would consider as the Current Generation, not the Next Generation anymore (which would be Generation 9, now).
I would argue that first second, third, etc. gen is all about the spec's, the terms current, past, and next are relative to what is considered as current as out in the market at this time.
There is always one thing I always wanted on the 360
The guardians, monuments and commands blocks would be nice BUT....
What happened to "Splitting from PC version" thing? The only thing that was truly unique was the enderdragon and the tutorial.
I want something one console that CONSOLE players would love that PC players WONT GET. Something where if you look at it, you'd be like "Yup, console edition."
I say this since PE got unique blocks such as the stone verstion of a crafting table, and the nether reactor (since nether prob wont be on there)
Just something where the console version can be very unique in it's own way. Like a new mob, or boss, or block, or item, or WORLD TYPE.
(sky dimension? Red dragon? GIANT? GEARS? ANYTHING?!?!)

I would argue that what constitutes a "current" gen is game sales. When the game sales for a "next" gen console exceed the game sales for the current gen (let's say for that quarter) then the "next gen" has become current.

That's a fair statement, and may well be true... although debatable. But, I was mostly replying to what appeared to be a static way of looking at it...

This definition seems pretty rigid in that it appears to be claiming that Generation 8 consoles and only Generation 8 consoles are truly Next Generation consoles... and the will forevermore be Next Generation consoles because of their specifications.
Maybe that was not the intent, but that was how I read it.
Looking over the contents of this thread so far, I've seen a lot of suggestions that I like (stained glass, eggs stackable to 64, more wood and stone types, new mechanics for fishing, enchanting and bartering all included) and one that I'm not crazy about (bigger world). So far, I've not seen the few things I would really love to see someday in Minecraft:
1/ All items being stackable to 64 (tools, doors, minecarts, etc).
2/ The OPTION to be able to choose from a set number of map sizes. That way, it will be up to the user to decide if they want small, standard, huge, mega.
3/ The option to change the name of a world after it's already been created. (I give a new seed the name "Meadowsong" and it's a desert world? Oops.)
4/ Villages aren't limited to plains and deserts. Why can't a town be in a taiga or a forest or the jungle? Sure, we're talking difficult, but why not? Clear a space (taiga / forest) or build it up in the treetops (jungle). Underground would be cool, too. Imagine a town built around a working mine that's all in a cavern somewhere. You'd just have to find it.
Basically, more options are my idea of a perfect game. That way no one's left out on how they want to play a world. I'm a village repair expert. I gen a new seed expressly looking for towns to fix. If there was a box to tick off that guarantees me a dozen villages, I'd be a happy builder.

I would just like bigger worlds really. Even just double the size, not 32 times bigger or whatever like on the One. That way, biomes have more chance to be included and really shine.

However, I might as well counter with:
Current Generation consoles now span 2 generations, as they should reflect the Generation that is common and in use and popular in the market now. Such that upon the release of a Next Generation console, at that point there is a shift in terminology such that it becomes Current Generation along side the previously recognized Current Generation, and further becomes sub-divided into "Old" and "New" Generations within the "Current" Generation until such point that the New Generation console (virtually and) mostly displaces the Old Generation Console within the market.

this is doesn't apply to slimmer consoles 😑
I guess the real question is when does the mantle of "Current Gen" shift to the "New Generation".
As pointed out:
