What is the new title update? And when can we expect to see it released? And what are the new features? Do we get the new biomes? Mesas and Roofed Forests. Help please!
It appears that the topic has moved.... We are unofficially, currently on TU 17 on the XBox 360 (having only the Bug List to go off of to verify this.) Following how this has progressed in the past, the next Title Update should be 18 (sequentially).
There has been some speculation that the Title Update numbering sequence may be changed in the near future due to it having recently gone to a multi-console format, some have proposed that the next one might be Title Update 20, but we have no confirmation from 4J yet regarding the 'official' label for the next Title Update.
The next update should bring us up to roughly Java version 1.6.4. So, it is unlikely that the additional biomes will be added (Mesas and Roofed Forests etc.), and we have nothing yet to suggest that they will be added. What we are anticipating is included in the Very Scary update (witches, whither skeletons, whither, bats, nether stars, beacons, etc.), the Redstone update (comparators, droppers, daylight sensors, hoppers, redstone blocks, etc.), and the Horse update (horses, donkeys, mules, lead lines, hay bales, etc.)
Possible inclusions might be colored/stained: hardened clay blocks, glass blocks, window panes.
Many people are hoping for some variant of the command block, but hopes aren't too high at this time.
No estimated time of completion has been announced as yet, completion date is purely speculation at this point.
Also, fireworks have been confirmed for the next update (which will include the rocket and the fireworks star as crafting items).
Name Tags should be included as well. Maybe even the Stained Clay (mentioned above) as that was apparently added in Java v. 1.6.1, and the update should bring us relatively current to Java v. 1.6.4
Thank you! Also, do you know if we will get the crafting interface like they have in pc? Pr no?
There isn't a lot of demand for the PC crafting interface, especially when the console crafting interface is much more user friendly for use with a game controller for a number of reasons and makes it much easier to learn the game for newer players. More people (IMO) would rather see improvements on the existing crafting interface rather than going back to having to manually select and place ingredients in specific patterns/recipes that have to be remembered (or looked up) in order to make something.
It is unlikely that it will be added, and if it is, like SoulEmpire said, it would be as an option that could be toggled on/off.
